A studio that runs in your browser

Cut, composite, and publish without installing anything — and drive the whole thing by API.

The hardest part of making short-form video isn’t generating a clip anymore — it’s everything after the clip. Cutting it. Grading it. Adding effects. Captioning it. Getting it out the door to Shorts, Reels, and TikTok.

BentoStream Studio is the back half of that pipeline, and it runs entirely in the browser:

  • Cut — a real multi-track timeline: trim, split, move, transitions, motion.
  • FX, Cinematics, and Flow — procedural effects, a 2D+3D scene composer with real cameras, and a node compositor for the finishing touches.
  • AI generation — text-to-video and video-to-video, right where you’re editing. Generate, then shape it into a finished cut.
  • Publish — pick an orientation and resolution, auto-caption, and post out to the platforms that matter.

Two things make it different. First, the heavy lifting — compositing, playback, effects — happens on your GPU via WebGPU, WebCodecs, and WASM. The server is only for AI inference, final export, and publishing. Second, it’s MCP-native: every editor action maps to an API route and an MCP tool, so you can tell an agent “assemble this reel, caption it, publish to Shorts” and it just happens.

A quick note on availability: the studio’s MVP is Cut plus Publish, with FX, Cinematics, and Flow following. We’ll be honest on this blog about what’s shipped and what’s still on the way.
